We are seeking an experienced and passionate Beauty Tutor (Nails) to join our education team at HMP Foston Hall. This is an exciting opportunity to use your industry expertise to help learners develop valuable vocational skills, build confidence, and prepare for future employment opportunities.

Working within a prison education environment, you will deliver engaging and high-quality training to small groups of learners, helping them gain practical skills, recognised qualifications, and the confidence to achieve their personal and professional goals. Prison education plays a vital role in supporting rehabilitation, improving employability, and creating positive outcomes for individuals preparing for life beyond custody.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver vocational training in Nails and Beauty to learners in a secure education environment.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Support learners to develop their skills, knowledge, behaviours, and confidence.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback and guidance.
• Ensure training plans, assessments, and learner records are completed accurately.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates learners to achieve their full potential.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum delivery and learner success.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Recognised Nails and/or Beauty qualification.
• Significant industry experience within the beauty sector.
• Experience delivering training, coaching, mentoring, or instruction.
• Excellent communication and learner engagement skills.
• Ability to adapt delivery methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Desirable

• Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, CET, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Assessor qualification.
• Previous experience within Further Education, Adult Education, Work-Based Learning, or Prison Education.

If you do not currently hold a teaching or assessing qualification, support may be available to help you gain the appropriate qualifications during your probationary period.
